Just minutes from the CBD you'll find the Sydney Coffee Centre. Established by Paolo Dicembre (pictured right), whose desire is to raise the standard and awareness of good coffee in both the home and the cafes.

 The Sydney Coffee Centre provides coffee equipment, training, barista assessment and job placement at every level. The cool vibe and stylish ambience reflects Paolo's commitment to excellence. His expertise, knowledge and unique ability to educate create a fun, informative and rewarding experience.

The Social Scene –

The long communal table and comfortable ottomans set the tone for a relaxed theory session. Much like the big Italian dinner table, Paolo wanted to create the feeling of being at home in Southern Italy. You will delight in home made biscotti, traditional tiramisu, Italian mineral water and of course delicious coffee whilst devouring the facts and trivia of coffee in the theory section of the training courses.  Paolo believes coffee is not all work but incorporates history, tradition and more importantly, the enormous social aspect…the lifestyle!

 Hands On –

When you enter the Sydney coffee centre you are greeted by an array of commercial and domestic espresso equipment that define the practical training area. There are 5 different makes of commercial machines loosely representing the characteristics and personalities of most machines in cafes today. Each visitor is afforded the opportunity to training, assess and examine any or all of the equipment. The practical area is divided into 2 sub-sections; one is the commercial, the other being the domestic or home espresso machine area.

 Essential Home Espresso –

 The SCC recommends and uses Sunbeam espresso machines for their training but visitors are welcome to bring their own machines from home if they choose. Retail Section –

 Here you’ll find everything from coffee machines for the home, coffee accessories, wholesale beans, books, cups, stainless steel milk jugs, tamps, in fact ‘All things coffee’ for the professional barista to the home enthusiast. 

Entertaining Area –

 The upstairs al fresco area is a great place to relax between training sessions. Enjoy a coffee, a cool drink or catch some sun. Ask about having your private function or product launch.
