Great advice!!

We were delighted to meet Paolo, a very friendly and helpful owner of the business who took time to discover what we wanted, in fact to help us discover what we wanted, then show us several possibilities across our price range. Each machine was discussed, any we thought we liked was demonstrated and the final, now informed, decision was left to us without any sense of pressure or obligation. My wife and I had been making rather poor coffee at home for some time and had wanted to upgrade. The problem was we didn't know enough about coffee or coffee machines to be able to make any sort of informed decision. We were attracted to the Sydney Coffee Centre primarily because of the array of machines on display, ranging from very basic domestic models through to exotic commercial machines. The business obviously specialised in coffee machines.

For a "non shopper", the experience was very enjoyable. We have ended up with a great coffee machine which is used every day and makes a great coffee every time. We even have friends who refuse to leave until after they have had one of our great coffees.

My wife and I were so impressed with Paolo from the Sydney Coffee Centre and our newly acquired coffee machine that we asked if we could get some home espresso training to help us get the most out of our machine. We decided to get a group of six together for a fun night where we mixed education about coffee, beans & machines with great food and hands on barista training on the machines we use at home. It was a very easy going and enjoyable night out for our friends and we all improved our knowledge of what to look for in beans and blends, how fine to grind if we did our own, how much coffee to get the perfect cup, how to stretch and texture milk, ideal temperatures and anything else we could think of on the night. Our coffee making has improved across the board and now I even get to show off with a bit of coffee art!

Great coffee at home

I've been using my espresso machine at home for the past 5 years and never knew I could make coffees this good at home. My wife said that after the home espresso course I'm making better coffee than she gets at our local cafe. I Learnt heaps and had lots of fun with Paolo. Great course, would recommend it to anyone.
